Inchie and Collage

Hello Everyone. Hope your weekend went well and that you are ready to start this week with a smile. Thank you for visiting Jumbled Crafts and for the lovely comments you leave.

At Every Inchie Monday the theme for this week is Yellow. Not many weeks left for 2014 but the list of words is already up on the blog for next year so I hope lots more people will join the Inchie Family.

I just did a background of different yellows ? one does looked a bit orange on the photographs. Then I added a yellow star brad.

At Art Journey Journal this month the theme is collage and you can use any medium you like to make a collage for the growing collection which Susi and Valerie gather together to show all the entries--beautiful--thank you Susi and Valerie

I did an emulsion paint and alcohol ink background then added the cut-outs I found on Google.

I don't usually listen to pop music but I have a little i-pod full of it for when we go on train or bus journeys. It drowns out the sound of people on mobile phones having loud conversations and children screaming 'cause they don't want to be there. Vic says sometimes I sing out loud to the music but I don't know because I have ear pieces in. I bet I am more annoying than the sounds I am trying to obliterate.:oO

Have a lovely day

Two Collages

Hello Everyone and welcome to Jumbled Crafts. Today I have two collages and both are very different so I hope you like them. Thank you for dropping by today.

At Collage Obsession this week the theme is Black Dress
You are given this image to use if we like or you can use anything that follows the theme I used the image and several others and made something that is supposed to be funny ?

All done digitally-do you think she went for the weekend away?

At Art Journal Journey this month the theme there is Collage and there are some wonderful works of art in all forms.

It is almost a year since my daughter asked if I would like her 'old' sewing machine and I said no but she brought it anyway when they came to visit. I did look at it and then just put it away as it was so different from what I had been used to. It seemed to do everything except make cups of tea. Well she will be coming for Christmas and is sure to ask how I have got on with the machine so I decided the time had come to 'have a go'. It does almost everything at the touch of a button and all I had to do was work out which button did what.

I made this collage from pieces of fabric in my scraps box and added a few other things as interest. Now to make myself a fabulous outfit to wear for Christmas :)-or maybe another collage to start with.

I really hope the machine she bought to replace it never comes my way as I would never learn how to thread that, it take so many different cottons all at the same time. She did mention that I taught her everything she knows--nice but not true.

Have a great day

AJJ Collage and a card for Marina's challenge

Hi All. A bit brighter here today but raining at the moment I bet it will be sunny soon :) Hope you like what I have posted today and thank you for the lovely comments you leave. I have the best followers in Blogland. I bet we all say that.

At Art Journal Journey there is a collage challenge this time and I have done digital and painted ones but you can use any medium you like and enter as many times as you like.

This collage started when I found 2 of our old rail tickets in a drawer and it gave me the idea to make a Journey Collage. The background was a sheet of paper I had been using to protect my craft mat and it had lots of interesting shapes and splashes on it. I added a few more and then images I cut out of a travel brochure that was sent to us in the post. The other bits and bobs were in my scraps drawer.

Marina, at My Perfect Life, has reached the end of her 48 week Christmas Card Challenge and it was lovely of her to invite others to join her along the way. I kept falling behind but it did help me a lot to get my cards made early this year. Thank you Marina :)

So I have my cards written and ready to put stamps on them, then get them in the post. I had forgotten to make one for Vic so here is the one I made this morning which will be for the challenge as well as for my husband.

I used some paper I made and a Hero Art Snowman stamp that I coloured with Promarkers. Everything was backed with some gold glitter paper and the white card edged with Distressed Ink.

Have I really made enough cards ?--not sure yet until I see who sends them to us.

Have a great day all

Tag and Collage

Hello Everyone and thank you for dropping by today. A warm welcome to my latest follower Karla. I wasn't around yesterday but have just been catching up with what you have been doing.Yesterday we went to York and had a great day out with perfect, warm sunshine and all the trains on time. Haven't seen the photos that Vic took yet but he didn't take many.

At Tag Along this time the theme is  the wonderful  Edgar Allan Poe

My tag is mostly a digital collage but the bat at the top I cut a shape from black card and made it stand out from the tag. The Poe picture I found online but made it into a digital stamp.

At Collage Obsession the theme is Raven and as usual with digi collages my mind went somewhere into the realms of fantasy
My daddy crow and his offspring are not the usual black crows at all. The big one I filled with pictures of a wonderful tattooed arm I saw online. Thank goodness I am not younger I'm sure I would be covered in tattoos. In my younger days only sailors and jail birds had them so I haven't any :(

I meant to add this to Art Journal Journey as well for the Deep in the Forest challnge

Have a wonderful day everyone

Inchie and collage

Hello Everyone from a hot and sunny NE Coast. Had a walk around the very large Bank Holiday car boot sale then did gardening after that so I am ready for a it down and a bit of crafting. Hope your day is going well and nice to have you pop into Jumbled Crafts. Welcome to my latest followers.

At Every Inchie Monday we are asked to do Killer as I theme for this week

Here I am being a bit different-well maybe not-who knows

I chose the perfume Killer Queen. I was going to chose the Queen  record of the same name but wasn't sure if that would work in such a small space.

Collage Obsession this week has the theme Balance

I used all sorts of things for this starting off with the man and the chairs and adding other things that say balance. I ended with a quote for a balanced life.

Collage and Photo Album

Hello to everyone who ventures into Jumbled Crafts-hope your day is going well.

Looks like being a crafty day for me as it is raining heavily at the moment. Plenty of time for that to change as I woke up at stupid o'clock and decided not to go back to sleep again. It will mean more hours in the day for me which can't be bad as time races by these days.

Time for another challenge at Collage Obsession where the theme for this week is Motherhood. I know many of you don't know anything about this type of digital doodling so please don't feel you have to comment on this, even though comments are always appreciated-good or bad.

I decided to use some of my family photographs to create my collage for this week. The mother on the left is my grandmother with my dad, in the middle is my mum with my brother and on the right is my, only remaining, aunt and my dear cousin.

Looking at all the old photographs gave me an idea for the next piece I made. This is for A Vintage Journey -with the theme 'Fond Memories' and Rhedd's Creative Spirit-where it is anything altered as always though there could be a twist sometimes

I altered this photograph album and thought I would print out some of my old photographs and keep them in it. The background is Rangers Distressed Inks-colours at the bottom of the post. I sprayed water into the palm of my hand and shook it onto the ink-love this Tim Technique. The diamond pattern is a stamp by Crafty Individuals.
A TH map in the middle and some plastic emblies that have the date 2004 on them and the pack had never been opened. Amazing what you find when you are looking for something else. The stencil was just a child's letters and numbers stencil but I need to buy a proper one as it didn't work as well as I would have liked. Used Cosmic Glitter mist on that bit.

Album before-well almost before, I had tried the colours I was going to use.

Difficult to photograph yesterday as the sun was so bright. I guess the real strength of the colours is somewhere between the two pictures.

What I used along the way.

That's it for now but I may be back later if I manage to make anything today

Thank you for calling in

Craft-Room and Three Muses

Hi Everyone. A few days since I last posted and I don't know where the time has gone at all. Hope you are having a good week and thank you for calling in at Jumbled Crafts.

This time at the Craft Room Challenge the theme is Roses and Romance-always lovely to join in their challenges with such terrific samples and entries.

I made this from a piece of corrugated card from a box and it measure about 12x12 inches. For the background I used a paper napkin that Alison had sent to me with other goodies. I thought it was just right for this challenge. The boy and girl are from Gecko Galz and I cut the little rose posies from a sheet of paper to add here and there where it was a bit bare. The wheel in the middle made of paper with hearts on it and I added the pinched hearts. Then I painted around the edges of the card with acrylic paint and all over the back with the same colour as I am hoping to use it as a journal cover when I find a piece of card the same size to use for the journal back.

I have found another challenge blog where I can indulge myself with digital artwork. It is called Three Muses and this week they have the theme Stylish Ladies

Not sure what I did except that I found the picture of a new, trendy, coffee bar that has just opened in London. I added the ladies from different places and used effects on them. Then they met up for coffee in this very stylish place. I used a frame and then added a border with a brick texture.

Hope you are having a really nice day

Inchie and Collage

A new week begins and it is sunny for us for time for a long walk along the cliff top I think. I hope it is sunny where you are and that you enjoy whatever you have planned. Thank you for visiting Jumbled Crafts.

At Every Inchie Monday this time the theme is Implausible. It seemed impossible when I first saw it but with thought it does have many possibilities and I am sure there will be many revealed by the end of the week.

This is the one I made. I suppose this has been proven to be wrong--or has it?  Depends on what you believe in I suppose. Wallace and Gromit or the moon landings?

It's time for another challenge at Collage Obsession. I seem to get a crazy excitement about these challenges as I can put on my digital design hat. So this week we are doing Solitude.

Here is mine which I have created just from a photograph of my own and a saying found on Google. I used various effects in Paint Shop Pro.

It is always peaceful along our seafront first thing in the morning and in the evening when all the day trippers have either not arrived or gone home. This lone dog walker and her dog were really enjoying the solitude--I did keep out of their view by standing well back to take this photograph. The beach goes for miles to the right of the picture and there wasn't anyone else in view at all. I supposed I was enjoying the solitude as well  though Vic was only just behind me:)

Have a great day everyone

Inchie and Collage

Hello Everyone who drops by and thank you for calling in at Jumbled Crafts.

It is Monday again already so time for another inchie at Every Inchie Monday. I hope some of you will join in this fun challenge as there are some great ideas made by the people who do join in. This week the subject is figure.

This is my picasso like figure that I drew in felt tips. It all ready to be stuck onto my master board.

At Collage Obsession this week the theme is weather which is a very good theme considering all the strange weather across the world at the moment.

I just searched through a few of our photographs-mainly from this year and combined them with a few PSP effects as well. The snow, showing me and Santa-the donkeys rides-led by my friend Carol who looks after the donkeys on our beach and the long shadows when the sun is shining.

These are the two photographs I combined to make the background both were taken in the last week.

Have a great day/night

Inchie and Collage

Hello :) Nice to have you pop in at Jumbled Crafts and I hope you like what you find on this post.

At Every Inchie Monday the theme this week is Forest. A very large subject for an inch square but there are already some amazing entries to admire.

Here is mine which I drew in felt tips. I based it on a photograph we took when we were in a forest a while ago.

At Collage Obsession the theme this week is Making Marks-lots of ideas on what you can do both digitally and with other mediums. I do believe I could become obsessed with this sort of work and look forward to the challenges each week since I found the blog. My passion is to work with digital art and this gives me a reason to do it--do I need a reason?:) I think I do or I may take root in front of the computer screen.

I started off with this picture then smudge it with the smudge tool and various steps to create different 'marks' for my background. Then I added lots of brushes to give some feeling of texture.

I painted this face in Paint Shop Pro a while ago and used the airbrush tool for the face and other fancy brushes for the rest of it.

Now I had better get something useful done as I have been doing this since I saw the new challenge this morning. Anyone who likes ironing I have lots of it again :(

Have a great day

Collage-Under (water)

Hi All. Welcome to Jumbled Crafts and thank you for your visit.

It is only a few weeks ago that I found Collage Obsession but it has certainly revived my interest in digital 'messing about'-I mean art:) . I look forward each week to the challenges there. Some amazing collages entered by people who join in. This week the theme is 'Under' and I have chosen underwater.

The background I used was a desk top download, I found the diver picture online but created all the other 'wonders' with brushes in PSP.

Have a beautiful and happy day
